Crib Boards Crafted from History
Every board tells a story, and this one begins with one of the greatest symbols of Canadian hockey pride ever built.
The World’s Largest Hockey Stick was more than a landmark. It was a love letter to the game that shaped our country. Built in Penticton, BC for Expo 86 in Vancouver, then later moved to Duncan, British Columbia, it became a community staple for generations of fans, families, and anyone travelling through Duncan could appreciate.
The stick stretched more than 205 feet and weighed over 60,000 pounds. For nearly forty years it stood proudly, weathering storms and seasons as a reminder of what community can build when people come together. When restoration became necessary, sections of its original Douglas fir were carefully preserved to ensure its story would continue.
That same historic wood now lives on through new creations. Each of our designs are is handcrafted from authentic pieces of the original stick, carrying with it decades of history, weather, and spirit. Every grain and mark tells its own story. Each board is different, yet all are bound by the same legacy of Canadian craftsmanship and love for the game.
These crib boards are not just keepsakes. They are living pieces of heritage, connecting those who play today with the hands that built the symbol of Canadian community so many years ago. Each board includes a certificate of authenticity verifying that it was made from the reclaimed wood of the World’s Largest Hockey Stick.
